Using wind, breeze is a great idea and it is cheaper.
Years ago i was with some engineers near Kizilirmak and they told me this : bu boyle akiyor biz de bakiyor” I hope that i am making myself clear:-)
And of course nuclear is a cheaper energy source.
The problem with Wind sourced energy is similar to that of solar i.e. it is not available 24 hours a day seven days a week etc etc. What happens when the wind stops for significant periods of time. Like when the sun goes down of a night time. The storage capacity is not there. Research is being conducted on how to better store energy developed from these sources and until that is improved Nuclear Energy is the most reliable and cost effective. However, the problem with Nuclear energy is obvious the spent Rods and nuclear waste thereafter what happens to all that where do you store it ?
Despite all the risks of nuclear power plants, many developed countries are still using them. Why not Turkey? Hydro-electric plants are not sufficient and they depend on constant water flow at a certain rate. Unfortunately Turkey, like many other countries, is getting less and less rain/snow each year.
Generating electricity from windmills is another option that people are talking about. I guess that would also require continuous wind. I am sure there are places that are windy all the time, but would that provide enough power for a country like Turkey? I doubt it. Therefore, nuclear power seems to be the best option at the moment.
I think It’s necessary!!!! We must sell it to Iraq.
Nuclear energy is a kind of big tea-pot. With nuclear reactions friction causes the heat. It has huge electrical capacity than the other ways but not safe for the life. Especially for us.
Do we use this electric in hospitals to feed the chemotherapy machines ? No thanks.
The idea of braving the “human factor” in such high risk situations as a nuclear plant is intimidating.
A plane crash kills the passengers and the unlucky passers by in the crash zone.
A nuclear plant explosion or even leekage does more than immediate kill. If you (have taken and) remember the radioactivity classes in highschool chemistry, you know that the effects of Chernobil still continue today, albeit unrecognized by the tea-drinking ex-Minister.
In Maçka, people are dying like flies because of cancer, but our irresponsible officials still deny that it is because of Chernobil. No, human beings cannot handle nuclear power responsibly; not in this political environment.

Because its cheaper and safe.. Check if there is any devolopped countries which is not using nuclear plants for energy…
