well obviously the advantage is green and renewable energy for both..
but theyre both very costly and some people say that wind turbines are unsightly.
thats a simple and quick answer
    i hope it helps!!

They have sources of energy that don’t impact the earth by mining, burning polluting…etc. the air and water would be flowing anyway, you are just harnessing the energy.

Hydroelectric dams can alter the natural flow of a stream, river or lake.

Wind power tends to present unattractive profiles objected to by people who enjoy the landscape (i.e. a beautiful beach setting is altered when wind turbines are set along the shore.)

Offshore wind farms are said to endanger migratory patterns for birds (but I don’t know if there is any truth to that or not.)

    Make Residential Solar Panels

    benefits of HEP::
    -fast flowing water
    -electronicaly stable
-does not cause global warming or acid rain and is completely renewable
-rivers are now more controlled, and resevoirs can be used to store water for farming or water sports

    poblems caused by HEP:
-takes up large areas of land
    -its ugly looking
    -sometimes built in beautiful places
-resevoir may flood farming land, natural habitats for wildlife, or poeples’ homes
    -expensive and difficult to create/build

    Make Solar Panels

    Advantages:

    - Renewable resources
    - No need for fossil fuels so no or little damage to the environment
    - Could solve problem of global warming

    Disadvantages:

    - Some people feel wind turbines ruin the view of a landscape and are too loud
    - Wind turbines can also cause a problem for the population of bats; bats don’t pick up the turbines as they move too quickly and the bats fly into them, killing them.
    - Too expensive
