Homes in United States, at less than cost to wage the entire Iraz battle from beginning to the end of 2007. Knowing this, would you be willing to write your Congressperson/Senator and tell them to Stop spending your tax dollars on War and start spending the same amount to fit every American home, apartment, etc. with Solar Power and equipment to recycle what power they don’t use back to utility companies. If this were started today, by the end of 2009 the United States of America could be 70% free of any oil consumption whatsoever, domestic or foreign.
Are Your Willing To Give It A Try.
My proposal: Dear [Senator] [Congressperson]: As my elected representative, I demand that for every tax dollar spent to wage war in a foreign country, one dollar be put into a sealed trust account for the sole and only purpose of fitting, or retrofitting, every American residence, whether home, apartment, trailer, or whatever, with solar equipment.

“Large utility-scale renewable energy offers important economies of scale. In Denmark industrial-scale wind farms already supply 20 percent of the country’s power; Germany and other European countries are close behind. The American Council on Renewable Energy estimates that with “consistent public policy” and enough investment, 70 percent of America’s energy consumption could be generated from renewable, carbon-free sources by 2025. Another government-supported study estimates that with radical efficiency efforts, renewable energy could supply all US electrical needs by 2030.
The story of wind, solar, geothermal and biomass energy development in the United States is an appalling tale of missed opportunities and willful negligence. The government has refused to use subsidies to jump-start green power, but it lavishes public money on fossil fuels. To the extent that the transition to utility-scale green power has begun–it is no thanks to government initiative”

The dash for gas was a mistake. As demand for electricity escalates we must turn to nuclear as the only sensible way to provide a reliable alternative. Wind power is expensive and who in their right mind would have anything in their house which only works three days in seven, and you don’t know which days?

Maybe because 99% of their energy plants are from COAL,OIL and NATURAL GAS.

Do they have to use coal? No
Whether you live in the south or the southwest alternative energy is still a viable source of energy.
Solar, Wind, Geothermal and other alternative sources are available to The Southern Company.
They are BIG OIL. Thats why they dont want to change.
Americans are not stupid.
CHANGE OR YOU WILL BE FORCED TO.
THATS GOES FOR DEMOCRAT/REPUBLICAN/LIB/CON/JACKASS/WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS.

We all know gas prices are high. I think they will only get higher, save some dips in the off-season. The issue is all the energy we use, not just our cars. Some say alternative fuels. Is it possible to simply switch over to ethenol? No. Should we be thinking about the way we live, our infrastructure, public transportation, how far and often we drive?

The cost of heating and cooling our homes will also continue to rise. Is there significant wind and solar technologies as an alternative? Nuclear, coal, hydro? What do you think?
