I know that other states (California, Tennessee, Arizona, etc.) offer rebates and other incentives for the purchase and implementation of energy saving appliances and alternative energy generators (solar, wind, hydroelectric, etc.).     They have them for energy star appliances. Contact you local electricity provider. Sometimes they run out of funding thugh.

    Try this website, I found incentives for Georgia and also my electricity supplier. Changed 10 incandescents to CFL’s and got 25 bucks.
